I recently had the great pleasure of attending the Ibiza International Film Festival with members of the cast/crew of Festival of Lights, an independent film project that I am involved in. FOL was accepted as a finalist in their annual competition, so I, along with Director, Shundell Prasad and actress Ritu Singh Pande flew out to attend the screening and press conferences. The island of Ibiza is breathtaking (as you can see by some of the pictures below) and the entire staff of IBIFF was incredibly warm and accommodating. While we did not take home the top prize, we thoroughly enjoyed our week on the island.

It was such a pleasure being involved in FSL Cosmetics new summer campaign! Owner/lead chemist Kimberly Riley and I met a few years ago and she’s been a long-time supporter of The Diva Lounge (those who have attended our events have received complimentary products from the FSL collection). For her upcoming collection, Kimberly selected three women to “inspire” the new summer colors – I was honored to be chosen to participate. The Divalicious gloss is a soft pink infused with a coconut cream that looks good beauties of every skin tone (as shown on the website) and can be worn alone or mixed with your favorite FSL lipstick.

Additional colors in the collection include: O-Mazin gloss comes in a sexy red plum hue scented with a hint of French Vanilla (inspired by Partner/Director of Entertainment of XI Magazine, Okema Moore) and Bonita gloss, which means “beautiful” in Portuguese, a vibrant coral infused with a refreshing watermelon scent (inspired by Brazilian Makeup Artist and Professional Skincare Expert, Viviane Aires).

Beginning June 1st, 2011, each gloss will be sold in sample sizes and can be purchased for $5 each at FSLCosmetics.com and in sets of 3 at PeppermintPark.com

The uber-Fab CocoaBella (pictured here) launched the #20inTwentyTen series on her awesome site Cool Cruel World, which featured a variety of young talented individuals who “have been working hard and long and have garnered a following and a lot of success.” She described the series as as the “most comprehensive list of young talent in NYC there is!”
